Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses mocapgen.com. By creating an account, generating an animation, downloading a file, or buying credits, you agree to them.

Who we are

MocapGen (mocapgen.com) is an independently operated online service that turns a text prompt into a Roblox R15 animation. "We", "us" and "MocapGen" mean the operator of mocapgen.com.

MocapGen is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. Roblox is a trademark of its owner and is used only to describe what the animations are compatible with.

Two mailboxes are monitored, and a person reads both of them:

• support@mocapgen.com — support, billing, refunds, cancellation, privacy questions, data requests, and reports of content that breaks our rules.
• legal@mocapgen.com — legal notices, security reports, and copyright and trademark complaints.

What the service is

MocapGen turns the English prompt and settings you provide into AI-generated animations. You write a prompt, choose a length between 0.5 and 10 seconds and a motion mode, spend credits, and get 4 variations that you can preview in the browser and download as an R15 animation file for Roblox Studio (.rbxmx), an R15 FBX, or a Mixamo-named FBX.

MocapGen is a software-as-a-service product delivered over the internet. There is nothing to install on our side and nothing is shipped to you. When a payment is confirmed, the credits or plan you bought are added to your account immediately.

What comes out is AI-generated. It may look imperfect, resemble other people's work, or be unsuitable for your purpose, and you should review it before you use or publish it. Results vary between runs. We may change, add or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where that is possible.

Free preview

When the free preview is switched on, a signed-in account gets 1 free preview generation per UTC day: 2 variations, up to 4 seconds long. A free preview plays in the browser only and cannot be downloaded. To export it, you unlock it, which runs a paid generation with the same prompt and settings and costs credits as described below. We may pause the free preview at any time, for example when the daily budget for free previews has been used up. There are no free credits.

AI models we use

MocapGen is built on third-party AI models and services. This is the current list:

• Tencent HY-Motion 1.0 (hosted by fal.ai) — generates the motion from your text prompt.
• Waffo Prompt Sift — an automated content-safety check on the text you write.

fal.ai forwards the prompt and settings to the model it hosts, which processes them. That processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Payments are handled by our merchant of record (Waffo Pancake or Creem, as shown at checkout), files are stored on Cloudflare R2, and transactional email is sent through Resend. See the privacy policy for what each of them receives.

Before a prompt reaches a model, it passes our blocked-terms list and the content-safety check above. Prompt Sift does not generate anything; it only decides whether something is allowed.

We may switch to other models as better ones appear. When we do, we update this page before the change goes live. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the model providers; their names and trademarks belong to them.

Who may use MocapGen

• 13 and over. You may create an account if you are at least 13 years old.
• Under 13. MocapGen is not directed at children under 13. A child under 13 may only use MocapGen with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who must create and manage the account and who is responsible for the child's use of it. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13 and was created without that consent, we close it and delete its data (see the privacy policy).
• Purchases. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian make the purchase, to buy credits or a plan.
• If the age of digital consent where you live is higher than 13, that age applies instead.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at support@mocapgen.com as soon as you notice unauthorized use.

Publishing elsewhere

Anything you publish on another platform, including Roblox, is subject to that platform's own terms and community standards, and to its moderation. You are responsible for checking that an animation you generate here complies with those rules before you upload it. We have no control over another platform's decisions about your content or your account there, and a moderation action on another platform is not grounds for a refund from us.

Plans, credits and billing

Generating costs 1 credit per second of animation, with the length rounded up to a whole second and a minimum of 4 credits per generation. One generation includes 4 variations. The cost is shown before you generate.

Paid options are:

• Starter, Pro and Studio — subscriptions, billed monthly in advance. Each billing period grants a set number of credits.
• Credit packs — a one-time purchase that tops up your balance. Nothing renews.

Current prices, credit amounts and what each plan includes are on the pricing page; we do not repeat them here so that they cannot go out of date.

How payment is taken

Payments are processed by our merchant of record (Waffo Pancake or Creem, as shown at checkout). The merchant of record acts as the reseller of the service to you and handles tax and invoicing, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Your card details go to it and are never stored on our servers; we receive the order result and the payment record it returns. Prices are shown before checkout, and any applicable taxes are added at checkout.

Recurring charges

By starting a Starter, Pro or Studio subscription you authorise the payment processor to charge your payment method the subscription price at the start of each monthly billing period automatically, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, without contacting us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan and your remaining credits until the end of the period you already paid for. If you would rather we cancelled it for you, email support@mocapgen.com and we will.

Credits granted by a subscription expire at the end of each billing month and do not roll over. Credits you buy in a credit pack never expire.

Refunds

The short version; the full policy is on the refund policy page and controls if the two ever differ.

• A generation where every variation fails is refunded automatically. The whole charge returns to your balance without you asking. A rejected prompt is never charged.
• No partial refunds. If at least one of the 4 variations finishes, the generation counts as delivered and its credits are not refunded, in whole or in part, except where the law requires it. Content that we remove after review is the one exception.
• Purchases. A credit pack or a monthly plan charge can be refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of the purchase and you have downloaded 3 animation files or fewer in that time. Downloads from the free library do not count towards that number.
• Cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; we do not prorate a cancellation mid-period.
• Statutory rights. If consumer law where you live gives you a right of withdrawal, nothing here limits it.

To ask for a refund, email support@mocapgen.com from the address on your account with the order number from Settings → Orders. We reply within two business days.

Content rules and moderation

Every prompt is screened by automated content-safety checks before it reaches a model. Results remain subject to human review after they are made. The full rules are in our Acceptable Use & Content Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You may not generate, or attempt to generate, content that is NSFW, sexual or sexually suggestive, that sexualises or endangers minors, that promotes hate or extremism, that facilitates harm, that impersonates a real person for fraud or harassment, or that copies someone else's copyrighted characters, logos or works. You agree not to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, attempt unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with the service. We may reject prompts, remove content, and suspend accounts that repeatedly try to route around the screen.

Rules for using output

These rules apply to every animation you generate or download here, including free library and public gallery animations, and they continue to apply after you download a file. The licence of the model we use requires us to pass them on to you, so they are an enforceable part of these terms:

• No training other AI models. You must not use MocapGen, or any animation, output or result from it, to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any other AI model.
• Lawful, acceptable use. You must use MocapGen and its output in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including trade compliance laws, and with our Acceptable Use & Content Policy.
• Say that it is AI-generated. Animations from MocapGen are machine-generated. When you place one in a public context on its own — for example a clip, a post, a video or a marketplace listing — say that it is AI-generated, and do not present it as made by hand. On MocapGen's own pages, playable animation previews (the gallery, the free library and the samples) are marked as AI-generated.

Trademarks

Roblox and other names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. MocapGen is not affiliated with any of them and uses those names only to describe compatibility.

How long we keep your files

Generated animation files are deleted 30 days on credit packs and Starter, 60 days on Pro and 90 days on Studio after they were made, so download anything you want to keep. Retention follows the plan you have when our clean-up runs: if you change plans, the new plan's period applies to your existing history. The prompt text and the record of each generation stay in your account history after the files are deleted, so you can see what you made. Animations you share to the public gallery are kept while they are public. Details, including what happens when you close your account, are in the privacy policy.

What you generate

• You own your results. As between you and us, you own the animations and other output you generate with MocapGen, and you may use, modify, publish and monetise them, subject to these terms (including the rules for using output above), to the rules of the platforms you publish on, and to any third-party rights in what you asked for.
• No exclusivity. AI models can produce similar output for different people. We do not promise that your result is unique, and we cannot give you rights in material that someone else already owns.
• Our licence to operate the service. You give us a licence to store, process and display your prompts and results so that we can provide the service to you. Your results are private to your account unless you share them to the public gallery.

Free library licence

The free library at /free-roblox-animations holds 24 R15 animations that we made with MocapGen. Anyone can preview them; any signed-in account can download them as an .rbxmx and an R15 FBX without spending credits.

• What you may do. Use library animations in your own games and experiences, including paid and monetised ones, and change them as you like.
• What you may not do. Resell the raw files, or share them again as an animation pack or as files for others to download.
• Daily limit. Each account can download up to 60 files per UTC day.
• Not exclusive. Everyone gets the same files, so other games may use the same animations.

The rules for using output above apply to library animations too.

Public gallery

You choose whether to share an animation to the public gallery; nothing is public until you do.

• What you grant. Sharing an animation gives us a licence to display it, its title, its prompt and its preview on mocapgen.com, and gives other MocapGen users a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to download it and use it in their own games and videos, including monetised ones. They may not resell the raw file or share it again as an animation pack.
• Making it private again. You can stop sharing an animation at any time. From then on we stop displaying it and nobody new can download it. Copies that other users downloaded before you stopped sharing keep the licence above; it is not withdrawn.
• Downloads from the gallery. Accounts with credits from a credit pack spend 1 credit per motion to unlock a gallery animation; once it is unlocked, every variation and format of it downloads free. Subscribers, and the person who made the animation, download gallery animations without spending credits. Accounts without a plan or credits can preview but not download.

Only share animations you have the right to share, and nothing that breaks the content policy.

Intellectual property

The site, the software behind it, the MocapGen name and brand, and the content we publish are ours, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may close your account at any time from Settings.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. AI-generated output may be imperfect, be unoriginal or be unsuitable for your purpose, and we do not warrant that it will be otherwise.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the service, including any action another platform takes on content you publish there.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@mocapgen.com and try to resolve the dispute informally first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced through the service. A change never applies retroactively to a purchase you already made.
