These free Roblox animations are 24 R15 clips you can preview here and download after you sign in, with no credits used. Every Roblox animation download comes as an .rbxmx for Studio and an R15 FBX, and you can use them in commercial games (no resale).

Information checked October 4, 2026.

How to get a free animation into your game

  1. Find a clip

Filter by walks, runs, jumps, idles, combat, or reactions, and play any clip on an R15 dummy.

  2. Sign in and download

Sign in with Google, then pick .rbxmx or R15 FBX. The download costs nothing.

  3. Insert it in Studio

Add the .rbxmx to your rig, check it in the Animation Editor, and publish it to get your own animation ID.

The publishing steps are in our guide to the Roblox Animation Editor.

Why get your animations here

  • No credits, no catch

Nothing here is for sale. Any signed-in account can download every clip, with no plan or credit pack needed.

  • Built for R15

Every clip is on the R15 rig and passed our Roblox check for length, joint speed, and missing R15 parts. In-place and loop clips also stay put.

  • Fine for paid games

Use the clips in your own games, including games that make money.

What's in the library

These free Roblox animations come in six groups. Each card shows the prompt that made the clip, its length, and its motion mode, so you know what you're getting before you download.

Walks (5)

A casual walk, a sneaky tiptoe, a tired drag, a zombie shuffle, and a confident strut. All five loop, so any of them can fill the walk slot. Need a different one? Make a custom walk.

Runs and sprints (3)

An easy jog, a full sprint, and a sprint start from a crouch. The jog and the sprint loop for the run slot; the sprint start plays once and moves forward.

Jumps, falls, and dashes (3)

A standing jump, a fall that lands in a crouch, and a quick forward dash, for jump buttons, drops from ledges, and dodge moves.

Idles (2)

A look-around idle and a bored idle that shifts its weight. Both loop and fit the idle slot.

Combat (5)

These free combat animations cover a sword slash combo, a spin kick, a punch combo, a block, and a fighting stance. Play them from your combat script on a hit or a key press.

Reactions and emotes (6)

A surprised jump back, a hit reaction, and a death fall for damage, plus a victory dance, a friendly wave, and a cheer with claps for wins and greetings.

How to import free Roblox animations into Studio

  1. 1. In Roblox Studio, select your R15 rig and its AnimSaves folder. If the rig has no AnimSaves folder, save any animation on it first.
  2. 2. Right-click AnimSaves, choose Insert From File, and pick the .rbxmx you downloaded.
  3. 3. Open the Animation Editor, click the ⋯ menu, go to Load, and pick the clip.
  4. 4. When it looks right, choose Publish to Roblox from the same ⋯ menu.
  5. 5. Copy the asset ID and use it as rbxassetid:// followed by the ID.

To replace a default move, set the matching slot in the character's Animate script to your new ID:

Clip typeAnimate script slot
Walkwalk › WalkAnim
Run, jog, or sprintrun › RunAnim
Jumpjump › JumpAnim
Idleidle › Animation1
Fallingfall › FallAnim

Combat, reaction, and emote clips have no default slot. Load them with the Animator from your own script.

After import: change speed, looping, and priority

Loading a clip with the Animator gives you an AnimationTrack you can tune in code:

  • Speed: AdjustSpeed(2) plays it twice as fast, 0 pauses it, and a negative value plays it backward.
  • Looping: set Looped to true or false. It starts from the Animation Editor setting, and a change made while playing applies after the current play-through ends.
  • Priority: choose Idle, Movement, Action, or Action2 to Action4. Where two clips move the same limb, the higher priority shows. Roblox's default animations play at Core, the lowest.

Can I use them in a paid game?

Yes. You can use library clips in your own games, including games that make money. Please don't resell the raw files or share them again as an animation pack.

Roblox animation IDs vs downloadable files: which should you use?

A shared animation ID still belongs to the account that published it, and your game can only load it if that animation's permissions allow it. A file you publish yourself gives you an ID on your own account. Here's how the usual options compare; you'll find shared IDs and community packs on the Creator Store and the Developer Forum.

FAQ

Are these free Roblox animations really free?
Yes. Any signed-in account can download every clip as .rbxmx or R15 FBX, and no credits are used. Making a new animation is the paid part: it starts at 4 credits, and signed-in users also get 1 free preview a day.
Why do I have to sign in to download?
Signing in lets us keep downloads free, limit abuse, and see which clips people want. It takes one tap with Google, and you can preview every clip without an account.
Can I use them in a game that makes money?
Yes. Library clips are cleared for your own games, including paid and monetized ones. Just don't resell the raw files or post them as an animation pack.
Do these animations work on R6?
No. Every clip is R15 only, and R6 isn't supported at launch. If your game uses R6, you can switch its avatar type to R15 in Studio's Avatar Settings, or use community packs made for R6. We may add R6 later, but there's no date.
Are there free Roblox animation codes or IDs here?
No. We give you files, not shared IDs. Insert the .rbxmx in Studio, publish it from the Animation Editor, and you get an ID on your own account.
What are some free animations in Roblox?
This library has 24 free R15 clips: 5 walks, 3 runs and sprints, 3 jumps, falls, and dashes, 2 idles, 5 combat moves, and 6 reactions and emotes. Beyond that, every Roblox character comes with default walk, run, jump, idle, fall, climb, and swim animations through its Animate script.
What is the best free Roblox animator?
It depends on how you like to work. To animate by hand, Roblox's Animation Editor comes built into Studio. To use a video, Roblox's Animation Capture turns a clip under 15 seconds into R15 keyframes. To use text, MocapGen gives signed-in users 1 free preview a day.
Which file formats can I download?
Two: .rbxmx for Insert From File in Roblox Studio, and R15 FBX for the Animation Editor's FBX import or for Blender. A Mixamo FBX comes only with animations you generate.
What if the move I need isn't here?
Make it. Describe the move in the generator at the bottom of this page and get 4 R15 variations to compare, starting at 4 credits.
